In French, Trompe L'oeil means to deceive the eye and present an illusion to viewer. Several pieces of Tom's work have this effect.
Tom can paint a doorway, where there isn't a door; a one dimensional painting that looks like a three dimensional sculpture; a chimney stack, where there is no chimney; or door moldings that look carved out of wood.
Tom can also paint windows looking out on exotic scenes.
